In 1910 Benham joined the Thanhouser Company in New Rochelle, New York, for whom he played the leading role in many of the company's films through 1915. He married actress Ethyle Cooke, and together they had two children, Dorothy and Leland, who also became prominent Thanhouser personalities. 3. Mignon Anderson (March 31, 1892 – February 25, 1983) was an American film and stage actress. Her career was at its peak in the 1910s. In 1911, she joined Thanhouser Studios in New Rochelle, New York. She was very diminutive and a blonde. Anderson starred alongside William Garwood in a number of short films including A New Cure for Divorce in 1912.She began working for Universal Pictures in January 1917. A year later, she left Universal and thereafter worked on a freelance basis. Her final film was Kisses (1922).George Nichols, sometimes credited in films as George O. Nicholls (October 28, 1864 – September 20, 1927), was an American actor and film director. He is perhaps best remembered for his work at Mack Sennett's Keystone Studios.Nichols was born in Rockford, Illinois. He made 221 known film appearances from 1908 up to his death in 1927. He also directed 103 films between 1911 and 1916. Along with Henry "Pathe" Lehrman, Nichols became an arch-enemy of Charlie Chaplin very early on in Chaplin's film career, as Chaplin was dissatisfied with Nichols' way of directing and comic ideas while both worked at Keystone in 1914. In his autobiography, Chaplin recalled a dispute between himself and Nichols during the shooting of a film in which Chaplin appeared.While working at Keystone, 'Pops', as he was known, was often cast as father to Mabel Normand.
