Description: Scarce and stunning pair of antique pendant light fixtures by Uno, 1910s, each comprising a slender brass rod with small circular ceiling plate and pierced brass shade holder accommodating a standard 3-7/8" to 4" fitter, the matching original period shades of clear glass in broad bell form with gauffered rim and iridescent satin exterior, deeply etched in the Art Nouveau taste with organic scroll, floral, and heart motifs, 8" in diameter at the rims, the total drop approx. 47-1/2", each shade holder stamped "UNO, Pat. Dec. 24, 12." One shade with tiny manufacturing flaw to rim (rough spot from an extra bit of glass, noted only for strictest accuracy), otherwise in very fine, beautifully preserved condition, the shades free of cracks or chips, the fixtures with no bends or breaks and rich, pleasing, untouched original patina. A fabulous and difficult-to-find original period pair with a strong industrial vibe and plenty of presence. While the full length may be too long for some rooms, the shafts can easily be cut to size to accommodate your needs.
