Description: I have here for sale a book entitled THE PLAYS OF SHAKSPERE With Notes by CHARLES KNIGHT and Illustrations in Photogravure in Six Volumes VOL VI published by Virtue & Co., London, undated, but online research indicates c.1910. The Contents of Volume VI include the plays Henry VI Part II; Henry VI Part III, Richard III, Henry VIII, and Brief Notice of Shakspere's Plays, and a Life of Sir Henry Irving. There are 8 full-page tissue-guarded b/w plates. Green decorative cloth boards with green lettering on the front board and gilt lettering on the spine. Water stain marks on the rear board, some rubbing to corners, and fraying to the top and bottom of the spine. Foxing to endpapers and evidence of some damp staining to rear endpapers and some pages.
