Description: The Product: Created about 1893 and patented in 1911 by the Harry Harper Ink Company of Canton, Ohio, (also known for the creation and funding of the Palace Theater in Canton), TONSILINE was an over the counter medication for sore throat, hoarseness and minor mouth and throat irritations. The Bottle: Embossed on the front with the image of a giraffe's head and neck. Embossed in the left side panel: TONSILINE. Embossed on the right side panel: FOR SORE THROAT. About 2 fluid ounces, 5 3/16 inches tall about 1 7/8 inches x 1 inch at the base, machine made, light aqua blue glass. A sideways '6' (mold number) on the base, no other marks to discern the glass manufacturer. A small ding on the reverse shoulder (last photo), light river abrasion, some haze that causes a light iridescence to the glass in some areas. Overall a nice bottle with a few minor imperfections.
