The back of this T206 Ed Karger (Cincinnati Reds) exhibits the El Principe De Gales (i.e., Prince of Wales or EPDG for short) Havana Cigarettes advertising with a hand stamping of “Sweet Caporal 350.” There is also a very light “350” at the bottom stamped over the “Rice Paper” text. In 35 years of hobby involvement, this is the only time we have ever seen anything like this. This card exhibits superb visual appeal and came from an original collection of EPDG cards where no other card has this back stamp. It is possible that an advanced hobbyist put this card in his collection as a Series 350 Sweet Caporal because the Karger does not appear with that back. It would be wishful thinking perhaps to hope that someone at the Sweet Caporal factory stamped this card intending it to be part of the 350 series, only to run out of space on the uncut sheet.
