Description: This is a T206 1909-1911 tobacco card of Arthur "Bugs" Raymond, made by the American Tobacco Company. It depicts Mr. Raymond in the uniform of the New York Giants in a throwing motion. Beneath his image is, "Raymond, N.Y. Nat'l.' The back variety is Sweet Caporal Cigarettes, Baseball Series 350 Subjects, from the Factory No. 25, 24 Dist., VA. The card was authenticated, graded and encapsulated by SGC, and was given a grade of PR 1, Poor 1. There are multiple creases, soft corners, and stains on the back. Mr. Raymond broke into the majors with the 1904 Detroit Tigers, with whom he played in five games. He was sent to the minor leagues, developed a spitball, and was back in the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals from 1907-1908, and then the New York Giants from 1909-1911. His last appearances were in 1912 with the Cincinnati Pippins of the United States League.
