Description: .This stamped brass helmet plate top was used to convert the Model 1881 Eagle Shako helmet plate to the new regulations circa 1902.It features a star-filled wreath with a two-piece scroll beneath with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on it.There are tabs on each side below the scroll for attaching to the eagle plate.Very good condition with appropriate patina for its age, as shown in photos.
