The mark was taken over in 1899 by Brokelman, Jager & Co. who changed it to 'Kosmos Brenner', (literally 'Kosmos burner'), they continued to manufacture right up to the 1970's when the factory closed and most tooling was destroyed. This is a beautiful oil lamp that still can be found in homes. There is a way to electrify the lamps, but most are oil lamps. They hang from the ceiling and project light throughout the area. This looks to be the original glass shade, cast iron or metal framework and then the glass oil base. The age is 1900-1920 by the shape and design of the metal work. SOO mark is the number of design on metal work.
