It is wide at the hilt, tapering quicklt at the hilt tp a very slender point. The design is obviously intended to force anopening in chain mail, design that is hard to improve on.This exampleshows modest wera from use and age. The robust wood hilt is in very good condition with no losses. The blade is uncleaned and dark in areas, as shown. There is,,as usual, no scabbard. The overall length is 12.25 "the Blade is 8"
