Description: This sterling silver souvenir spoon was manufactured by Maier & Berkele for the Atlanta, Georgia Cotton States & International Exposition of 1895. It measures 4 inches in length and weighs 11.1 grams. It is embossed with a cotton boll in the bowl and bears a crown and an American eagle at the end of the handle. The handle is embossed with "Atlanta." The reverse is stamped "Sterling," and has the maker's name, as well as "Pat. Appl'd. For." There are three entwined, engraved initials at the back of the handle, for the original owner. This beautiful spoon is in excellent condition, with no dents, warps, bends, or breaks.
