Description: This is a carved and stamped walnut wooden medal of the 1892 Columbian exposition or Chicago World's Fair. It is 3 1/4" in diameter and pictures the Government Building. The reverse celebrates the 400th Anniversary of the Discovery of America, 1492 to 1892, the 1893 Columbian Exposition May 1 to Oct. 30 at the Jackson Park in Chicago. It is in very sharp like new condition. It is part of a large collection of Chicago World's Fair items from an estate in Downeast Maine.
