1889 NGC AU58 Mintage 7520- 2nd Lowest 1878-Today $5 Half Eagle! $2,350 PCGS PG!

Description: $2,500 PCGS Price Guide as of this posting. You will receive the beautiful imaged coin. Mintage 7,520 - second lowest from 1878 to today! Low survival rate, too! Unbelievably undervalued. Population just 168 in ALL grades combined plus merely 207 at PCGS, much lower totals than those of most far pricier dates. And many of those few are resubmissions or crossovers of the same coins. Extremely undervalued key date. Mintage 4.5 times lower than 1909-O's, which CU's for $21,000 in this grade! And population six to 10 times lower in all grades! Very few and light marks for an AU58 Half Eagle. Very lustrous for that grade. Uncirculated reverse, obverse nearly so. Traces of Prooflike fields remain. Pretty color. Boldly struck. Non-doctored, unlike many other 1889 $5's in straight-graded PCGS slabs. Superb Gem BU by vintage mail-order standards even without the usual doctoring. AVOID RAW COINS AND THIRD-TIER SLABS! We know of many dealers who have become fabulously wealthy by grossly over grading choice rarities like this. Stick with NGC and PCGS, and ignore excuses from third-tier coin sellers (ask them if they will buy back for 90% less selling fees, as we will for this conservatively described beauty. Or even 10%). Many dealers heavily market BILLION-mintage modern coins, which creates artificial demand, grossly inflated prices, and GIGANTIC profits. But they ignore this 7,520-mintage key date because it is far too rare to promote and from which to profit, so demand and thus prices stay absurdly low. Seriously, $10,500 PCGS Price Guide for a 5.4 BILLION-mintage 1975 penny in two grades below MS70? And $10,000 for a "rare" 4.5 BILLION-mintage 1975-D cent in the same imperfect grade? We would not pay $5 for either. But PCGS Price Guide is just $2,500 for this 7,520-mintage #1 key from 1878 to today? Most modern coins can be bought at or near face value, melt value, or Mint-issue price; placed in a $4 plastic slab (PCGS bulk rate); and sold for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. But try doing that with with this 7,520-mintage #1 key date from 1878 to today. We deal only in truly rare coins, not fabricated illusions designed to make coin dealers rich. Ask your modern coin dealer if he will buy back for 90% less seller's fees, as we will for this rare coin. Or even 10%.
