Description: 1883 Liberty Nickel for sale without CENTS variety. The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive. The edge of this coin has been crudely reeded all along. I have only seen this happen on gold plated racketeer nickels, as $5 gold pieces had reeded edges and the more convincing deceivers reeded the egdes of their nickels to help pass it off. There is no trace of gold plating remaining, but the surfaces are very dirty, so it is possible the coin was used as a racketeer nickel in the 1800's, but lost its coating over the years. It also has been holed at some point and is bent slightly. A very interesting piece of early U.S. history. Please use the pictures to determine the grade and feel free to ask any questions that you have as there are no returns. Will ship next day once payment is received. Combined Shipping: I offer free combined shipping for every additional coin purchased. In order to receive the free combined shipping, you must wait for a revised invoice before paying. Thanks
