Hinsdale and Isaac Newton Demmon, History of the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press, 1906), pp. 250-251. B. B. Morgan was active/lived in Michigan as an artist. He was known for portrait and marine paintings. I found only one auction record, for a piece titled "going fishing' dated 1881 that sold in 2001. Additional information sent to me: "Benjamin B. Morgan was married to my great great grandfather's sister, Lucinda Munroe Morgan. I think I read once that a relative placed some of his paintings in storage at a university, but I cannot remember the school. Maybe it was in Florida, but I am not certain. My brother has two originals. (They are not portraits.) Benjamin Boomer Morgan and his wife are buried at Lake View Cemetery in Howell, Michigan. I do not know much about him, but I think he was also an inventor." 111118
