Description: You are bidding on a Fantastically Beautiful Apothecary Jar.. It was probably used in a Drug or General Store to dispense Medicine or Candy.. This Jar was handblown in a mold and the neck was finished while the jar was held on a punty rod and this left a rather large Open Pontil Scar that is rare on this type of jar.. The Original Top is included and this was hand ground to the neck of the Jar.. The top is most beautiful with it's Pinwheel Knob Design.. The jar is 10 Inches tall to the top of the knob, a good size indeed.. This Beautiful Antique Apothecary Jar is in Mint Condition and is, like the day it was made except for the honest base wear which only proves it was used... The large Open Pontil is a full 1&1/4 Inches across.. Don't let this one get away because it will be a long time before another one this good comes along.. Have questions?
