It is from the 1880 edition of Stieler's Hand Atlas designed by Hermann Berghaus, published in Gotha by Justus Perthes. The publisher and date are shown on the map in the bottom margin and the name of the atlas is in the upper right corner. There is a copyright date of 1880 in the bottom left margin and the map was designed by Hermann Berghaus as shown in the title block. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. The Stieler maps are some of the most detailed of the 19th century in the German tradition of cartography. Size: The map image measures approximately 13 by 16 inches on a 15 by 18 1/2" page as seen in the pic with a wide margin all around for framing as seen in the main pic. Condition: The map is in Good condition with overall tonal aging. There is some darkening around the edges as typical, otherwise the map is very clean and would frame up well. It is printed on heavy paper, blank on the reverse with no centerfold, so it would frame up nice and flat. The pics are of the actual map.
