Description: Beautiful, Colorful, Original Pop 1/1 Rarity 1877-S Trade Dollar NGC VP-003, Micro S NGC AU55 This one, unusual reverse die was punched with the Micro S used for the 1878-S Morgan, and possibly some half dollars in the 1870s. Rare. This the only AU55 of the Micro S that has been documented, and there is just one coin graded higher, so you have to take what you can get. The current NGC population is 5 coins in all grades. Census: 1 VF, 1 XF40, 1 XF45, 1 AU55, 1 AU58.Richly toned in amber, gold, sea green, and gunmetal hues over both sides. Glossy fields, full mint luster under the toning, and it is somewhat difficult to spot actual wear; this is a PQ piece. Trade dollars are rarely seen with original surfaces and so, we seldom handle them. This premium piece is the rare exception, and it will not last long.
