Overall, very good or better.THE FIRST PUBLISHED HISTORY OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY. A nice copy of the second issue of the first history of the County of Los Angeles from 1876 written by the three men who were in the best position to do so at the time. Written the year the railroad connected San Francisco to Los Angeles via the Newhall Pass, this small book demonstrated Los Angeles County was to become a burgeoning metropolis like the more populous and better known Bay area city center. A very fragile production, which explains its scarcity today. Publications in thin wraps such as this weren't meant to survive for decades and certainly not centuries. A fine and desirable collectible for the novice and advanced collector alike.
