Description: #136, 3 cent grilled banknote, on cover from San Francisco CA to CT in 1871. Nice quartered cork cancel and CDS, but cover with extensive docketing at left and a bit rough at right. Original business content on onionskin paper. A few points of the grill show at upper right of the stamp, as typical. Scott $37.50 on cover but hard to find. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
