Description: 1870s J.E.Stevens Toy Cast Iron Cap Firecracker Gun Pistol Antique Manufactured by the Stevens American Toy Company in 1872. Constructed of cast iron with original black & red paint. No moving parts. It weighs 4.5 oz. Length is approximately 5 inches. No manufacturer markings that are legible. This is not actually a 'cap' gun but a FIRECRACKER GUN. A firecracker would be inserted into the hole at the end of the barrel with the fuse sticking out. Then it would be lit. CAUTION: Don't try this at home. Being sold as a collectible only.
