Description: This is an 1870's era glass kerosene oil lamp in the Fruit Medallion pattern as noted in Thuro's Oil Lamps book #3 page 117. Lamp is about 9" to top of fine line brass collar (which predates 1875) and includes a nice Eldorado burner. The stem appears to have a glass wafer attachment to the fount, which is an earlier form of attaching the two separately molded glass parts together. Each panel has grapes, apples, and pears. Lamp is reported to be made by the Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. glass company from Wheeling, W. Va. There is a very small chip on the base as noted in the photos. Please check my other upcoming auctions featuring oil lamps and other early american pressed glass - EAPG. I will combine shipping on multiple purchases.
