Description: The Poetical Works of Lord Byron with Explanatory Notes and a Life of the Author. By Lord Byron, with notes by Thomas Moore, and published in New York by Johnson, Fry and Company. 1867, 740 pp, 8.5x11'', hardcover binding. In fair condition. Covers and spine have age-related toning and wear that has caused some discoloration, and some tearing along the edges. Cover boards are loose. Pages have age-related toning, foxing, and some staining. Hinges are worn, but pages remain attached and generally have good support. However, the pages are not exactly even with the hinges, and the pages thus end after the bottom of the cover board, as pictured. Edges of pages have toning and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. Lord Byron was an English romantic author and poet. This is a collection of his works with an introduction and explanation of his life by Thomas Moore. Any issues with hinges or binding due to age and wear could provide an excellent opportunity for restoration and rebinding, if desired. FORN-ABE-MSB-Shelf-667-jr625
