He was the brother in law of Robert Gould Shaw of the famous 54th MassachusettsVolunteer Infantry. Curtis was also the editor of Harper's Weekly and one of the founders of the Republican Party.Photographed by J.W. Black of Boston.CDV is about 4" x 2.5" and in very good+ to excellent antique condition.
