It is from an 1850 edition of Alison's History of Europe, published by William Blackwood, Edinburgh & London as stated in the bottom center margin and designed by A.K. Johnston as stated in the bottom right margin. It is from a discharged edition that was once in the Brooklyn Public Library and has a perforated library stamp in the bottom right of the map, which makes it rather unique and well documented. A copy of the title page of the Atlas is included with the map. It is being sold as a single sheet, not mounted, matted nor framed, basically as seen in the pic. Size: The map image measures approximately 6 by 8 inches (15x20cm) on a 7 by 9" (18x23cm) page as seen in the pic. Condition: The map is in Good condition for its age with overall tonal ageing, blank on the reverse, with original handcolor outlining and troop positions. There is some darkening around the edges and a perforated Brooklyn Library Stamp in the bottom right corner, otherwise it is very clean with a nice antique appearance that would frame up well, see the pics for more on condition.
