It was published in an 1849 first edition of the Bilder Atlas um Conversations Lexicon Iconographische Encyklopadie der Wissenshaften und Kunste (Leipzig: Brochaus, 1849). Included is a facsimile copy of the title page with date for authenticity. The prints for the publication were designed under the direction of Johann Georg Heck as stated on the title page and in the bottom left margin of the print. Henry Winkles was the engraver, whose name appears in the bottom right margin. The print is not mounted, matted nor framed, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Overall the print has excellent line work and a nice rich tone! Size: The image area measures approximately 8 by 10 inches (20x25cm) on a 9 1/4 by 11 3/4" (24x30cm) page with a margin all around as seen in the pic. Condition: The print is in Good condition for its age, blank on the reverse, with light tonal ageing. There are a couple of light smudges around the margins, otherwise the print area is very clean with a strong impression that would frame up well, see the pic for more on condition.
