Description: For Sale is a unique 1835 W. Wallace Nickel Silver Spoon. The size is 4.25". Have not found this particular spoon anywhere. The pattern I have identified as Triple Sectional. The spoon is in excellent condition other than some scratches with normal wear and could use a good polishing. From what I have learned is that if there is no mark it is not silverplated. Robert Wallace began producing nickel silver spoons in 1835 for other firms. Wallace did not begin stamping their own trademark on them until 1897. By this time the name of the company was R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Because of this the spool is likely nickel silver. R. Wallace & Son s used the 1835 trademark from what I have learned up to at least 1910. It is likely that this spoon is an early one, around the turn of the century. Payment with paypal within 3 days will ship within 1 business day.
