Reverse has a well defined shield and eagle's leg.Borckardt Variety 6, R2, Breen 6141 w/split berry, Haynor/McCloskey HM-2, R-3Obverse - Date low with 5 left of the lowest curl. Full radial lines on stars.Reverse - Reverse of 1834, Wide A M in AMERICA, split berry in olive branch. Shield and the eagle left facing leg show a full strike. Aside; I highly recommend Haynor's book "United States Classic Gold Coins of 1834-1839" to anyone collecting Classic Head Quarter and Half Eagles. It has significantly more information and detailed photos missing in previously published documents. Excellent resource.
