CONDITION In the original publisher's full grain morocco binding. Externally sound with minor shelf wear, lightly rubbed to extremities of spine and boards, gentle darkening to the spine. Vernal A. Diggs bookplate to front pastedown, previous ownership ink inscription to front pastedown. Internally, binding generally firm with only frontispiece loose but present. Few minor spots scattered to the occasional leaf, particularly to the odd leaf of plate and protective tissue guard. Otherwise, pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with a frontispiece, additional vignette title page, and twenty-four additional full page engravings by J. D. Harding. Collated, complete.
