Description: Antique 1830-1855 vintage English brown transferware 8¾"W x 11"L oval platter with in-molded, relief-raised tab handles in the Romantic Staffordshire Alhambra pattern is in overall excellent, little-used condition, with virtually no utensil wear. The platter has no chips, cracks, hairlines or stains. Even glaze crazing is at the absolute bare minimum or non-existent. What the platter does have for minor condition issues involves the rim and the reverse. There are some points of glaze wear roughness, and some toning to one of the kiln marks, shown. There are also some scattered scratches near one handle. Maker unknown. A rare platter to find in this mostly unused-looking condition.
