By Walter Hamilton, Second Edition.Volume I - published by Wm H Allen, no date stated but the Preface is April 1828. Fold out Map of India by Parbury Allen dated April 1828. Covers Abdon-Hyderghur. Bound in the original blind embossed hardboards with gilt lettering on the spine. 23 cm by 15 cm. xv, 684 pages. Final page of the Preface is detached but otherwise all firmly bound in.Volume II - published by Parbury and Allen, dated 1828. Covers Ichagwur to Zyghur, Glossary and Index. Pages 1-770. 21 cm by 13 cm. Vol II is slightly smaller than Vol I - it has been trimmed and rebound in green linen boards at some time. No map of the Eastern Archipelago - so this has been removed at some date in the last two centuries. This volume II is affected by antiquarian bookworm but all clean now.
