Printed from 1817 to 1855 Each volume cumulates 12 monthly issues, with general t.p., continuous paging; each issue has caption-title, frontispiece, continuous numbering. Said to be printed London in 39 volumes from 1817 to 1855, but the cataloging is suspect with only a few widely scattered volumes demonstrated to be extant, and these by another printer. While the ecclesiastical publisher remains same or similar throughout the series, it appears the printers changed at least three times during the series. This volume contains, like most, information about spiritual awakenings, heathen conversion, and missionary labors. Every monthly issue appears to come with a song or two, and certainly much verse poetry. NOTES: While a number of institutions hold copies of this publication (which varied its printers throughout the run), very few, and possibly none, possess the entire run. Huntington Library holds 1 annual issue. Yale-Beinecke holds 3 scattered issues. Even the online offerings are partial listings, with the spelling often mistaken and confusion rampant between this publication and other similarly worded titles published in New York. CONDITION: GOOD. Joint cracked on back cover. Caps full. Corners bumped but not heavily rubbed. Soiling in pages and some creasing. Foxing minor if any. Page attachment excellent.
