BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Benjamin Pitts Capper produced a very popular cartographic publication: his Topographical Dictionary was published by Richard Phillips and contained 44 maps of the English counties and maps of the British Isles, all drawn and engraved by H Cooper. Until recently this was thought to have first been published with maps in 1808 but in recent years 2 copies have turned up dated 1807. Please explore my ebay shop for more antique prints.
