Description: 1803 Classic Head Half Cent in Very Good to Fine Condition as pictured. C-3 Variety with the typical bulge in the first two numerals of the date. A beautiful premium example with pleasing brown patina, nice surfaces and bold features. A little crud build-up in the lettering recesses could be harmlessly removed by soaking in distilled water, but I chose to leave the coin alone. Tough year with a very low mintage of only 93,000 pieces! All have cents are rare with a total mintage of only 7,865,226 pieces over a 64-year period from 1793 to 1857!
