Description: 1800s Oval Framed Photo of Married Couple Emma Jane Moore Hill & Charles McClure Hill-Wedding Picture- Husband & Wife-Named on Back-Husband & Wife in Knox County, Indiana- UNUSUAL FAMILY INFO-Approx. 10"x8.5"..........Box pinkboxhillphotooval This item has a 5 day Shipping/Handling time for extra care in packaging. When possible, it will ship earlier. **PLEASE NOTE** THIS PICTURE IS LINKED TO ANOTHER I HAVE LISTED (LUCY & JOSEPH FOX) -The handwriting on the back is the same. I was unable to find much info on either family. They were all from Knox County, Indiana, and buried there. YOU MAY WANT TO PURCHASE BOTH PHOTOS (LISTED SEPARATELY) as they are linked. Small, approx. 1.25" thick frame, oval 10"x8". Appears to be an original photo, but I'm not sure if this isn't a reproduction since the color is flat. Unable to be positive because the back is covered. The couple is identified as someone's grandparents (great grandparents?) Some age wear to the photo. The frame has places where the veneer is starting to pull up. Still intact and in good condition. There are places along the raised edges that the gesso/paint has rubbed off a little or has some little chips. PLEASE SEE ALL THE PHOTOS BEFORE PURCHASE. This was an interesting history-------Apparently Charles & Emma had 11 children-I think 3 died while young. One of their sons: Frank Gresham Hill ( 1895-1957) identified as "Male" in the Census- was noted to have a spouse "Glenn E. "FOX" Hill" on the tombstone he shares with his spouse. The Spouses are listed in several places (including on the tombstone) as Frank Gresham Hill. and Glenn E. Fox Hill. They had a child -Frank J. Hill (listed on Ancestry) in 1917. They are listed as marrying in 1915. This is not uncommon in this day and age, but in 1915, this would have been rare. I'm curious, as I didn't know marriages of this type were allowed in 1915. Very interesting. The Frank J. Hill I found was buried in Florida in 1990, and he had a been a Commander in the Navy, if this is the same one. TO SUM UP--THIS COUPLE HAD A SON WHO MARRIED THE OTHER COUPLE'S SON (I have the photos of both sets of parents for these 2--I DO NOT HAVE THE RARE MARRIED COUPLE'S photos. I hope this makes sense. VERY unusual. **The precise color of the items may vary depending on the specific monitor, the settings and the lighting conditions.
