Excessive moisture will cause bamboo to get discolored. Wash and immediately dry bamboo, if/when needed. How to compost silk floss: To save time composting, store used floss in a glass jar. Cut up the tangled floss once or twice a month or ball it up and add it to your at-home or community compost pile.
