Description: I have here for sale a VERY LARGE FOLD-OUT MAP OF LE ROYAUME DE FRANCE DIVISE EN TOUTES SES PROVINCES COMPRISES SOUS DOUZE GOUVERNEMENTS GENERAUX scavoir Picardie, Normandie, Isle de France, Champagne, Bretagne, Orleanois, Bourgogne, Lyonnois, Guienne et Gascogne, Languedoc, Daufine, Provence, avec ses Acquisitions dans L'Espagne, dans l'Italie, dans L'Allemagne et dans Les Pays-Bas. The cartographer is Hubert Jaillot who was a geographer and French cartographer, publisher at Paris, from the late 17th century and beginning of the 18th century, in the service of King Louis XIV. The map is dated 1721 in the cartouche in the top left corner which shows the scale (Eschelle). The map is colour delineated. The map has a few small tears to the folds but is in overall very good condition. The section on the back of the map which has been most exposed to air and light has darkened. It measures 115 cm x 125 cm. Postage will be by Air Mail outside of UK. If you buy more than one item then the postage cost falls for the second and further items as I will put them into one parcel - so you save money. We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
