Description: Custom built model of a WW2 Russian Lavochkin La-7 fighter plane. One of several Lavochkin designs of the war era. Introduced in 1943 the La-7 followed the successful La-5 of 1942. Most of Russias top aces flew the La-7 at some point. It was of typical of many Soviet designs being of mixed wood and metal construction. Lacking some of the state of the art features of other modern fighters it was none the less quite rugged and it posessed excellent performance, definitely one of Russia's most successful fighters. This is a scale model collectors item to be handled and unpacked with care, not a childs toy to be played with! Has small and sharp parts that could break off if mishandled. Buyer should expect the possibility of small parts coming detached in shipment but model is well built and will be carefully packed (check my feedback) and damage is quite unlikely.
