Illustrations: Engraved frontispiece; small engravings (coats of arms) within text. Description: A nice, sound copy of the second edition in a sympathetically restored panelled calf binding. Recently rebacked, with five raised bands and gilt lettering on morocco label. Upper board appears to be original, the lower board probably a closely matching replacement of similar or slightly later date, the rear pastedown having also been replaced. Internally sound and firm. Hinges strengthened. Text-block remains firm, pages somewhat age-toned with handling and other age-related blemishes. A little worming at head of front pastedown and to lower margin of final few leaves. Pagination matches ESTC N11874 with the exception of an additional blank leaf preceding p.1 in the first section, and p.154 misnumbered 104 in the second section.
