Description: 166 Atlantic Calico Scallop Fragments Lot of 166 scallop seashell fragments were naturally and sustainably collected. No ocean creatures were harmed in the gathering of these shells. These ocean gems are between 1/8 - 1 3/4 inches wide and are a variety of colors. Love these colors and patterns on the front and back side.Scallops have round shells with 19-21 distinct rounded ribs and winglike “ear” projections on either side of the umbo. Most of these “ear” projections have been worn away, some are even more worn by the surf. These are fragments…. In that they are not complete or whole scallop seashells. The seashell fragments you see in the photos are the ones you will receive. No oils or chemicals applied. I leave that for you to finish according to your projects’ needs.Photographed dry.
