Description: Small handwritten vellum document measuring 12 inches by 5 inches. Dated 2 June 1616. The front of the document is written in Latin and the back is in English. This is a Bond of Obligation. I cannot read all of the contents so my description will be limited. People involved are: • Rowland Trapps of Battersey (Battersea ?) • Roger Trapps of Cheham (Cheam) in the County of Essex. • Giles Trapps of …? Hall in the County of Essex. • Roger Wright of London. CONDITION. Contents complete. Old fold lines. Some darkening to vellum and a few very tiny holes to the top margin (the contents are not affected and they are only visible when held up to the light). Otherwise no holes or tears. Ink clear and free of fading. Good condition for a document of this age. Retains two partial wax seals. The other seal is lacking.
