The “Old Style” takes facets of old-timey saddles, Vaquero saddles, and early DP models and brings them all together with modern technology. Designed to be both attractive and comfortable for all day riding, offering a 16” seat with grippy Nubuck leather and ample padding. The higher cantle (3.5”) and pencil roll offers further security and comfort for the rider. Shorter trail horn at 2”, A-fork style swells that reduces bulk and helps open up the seat, free swinging fenders that have plenty of adjustment, pre-turned, and have Hamley twist. The darker leather and just a bit of tooling gives this saddle a sharp, yet understated look. In skirt rigging that is slightly dropped to open up the shoulder and comes with upgraded leather latigos, comes fully rigged, and upgraded oak stirrups. Rear rigging is a $350 value on its own! Horn is mule wrapped and has added strings for your packs. Very short 24” round skirt and surprisingly light at just 30lbs! Now, let’s talk about the tree. The flex tree allows for small amounts of adjustment within the tree, actively supporting your horse. The adjustable tree adjusts as small as a millimeter at a time, offering near infinite adjustments to help support your horse. It is easily adjusted with a simple turn to the tree using DP’s Allen Wrench tool (comes with). Comes with padded DP Saddlery saddle cover.
