Description: ~*~Hello and thank you for looking ~*~ *~ *~ A wonderful find!!! This small piece was printed at the Jouy Factory by Oberkampf in the late 18th century ~ it's FABULOUS! The design is the reason the Jouy factory took such a hold on the French public, it's wonderful. This fabric would have been purchased for making a gown or similar. I can see this was the bodice cut ~ It's 100% hand block printed, each and every color required it's own hand block to be carved, intricately as to execute the final design of swaying, undulating floral and vine. It's a medium weight cotton, very sturdy ~ ideal for design inspiration ~ ( I have many more panels, to search my store for the other panels, please search my store for the word Oberkampf MEASUREMENTS : approximately 28 inches by 25 inches ~ CONDITION : This lovely piece is in as found, not freshly laundered condition . the edges are ragged and the edges have flaws ~ Inventory : EFF 52
