Description: Offered is this wooden storage box for the Hawthorne Village Masterpiece Railways collection, with a 2010 copyright date. The box has a mahogany-look finish, darker around the edges, with dovetailed corners. The hinged lid has a decorative metal knob and the Hawthorne logo painted in black. The box is individually numbered; this is number A1025, painted on the box bottom. Inside the box is a cloth-lined bottom section and another cloth-lined removable shelf section. There are four cloth-lined dividers in two lengths, as well as eight extra small wooden pieces; these are loose and uninstalled. Also included is the original Certificate of Authenticity. This may be a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find another Hawthorne Village storage box for sale on eBay. The box is approx. 14 3/8" wide, about 11 1/2" from front to back and approx. 6 1/2" high. It is in very good condition. The outside has no major wear, but there are a few minor scratches, marks, etc. from use and storage. Inside, four of the six small edge pieces have come unglued, but are included. There is some light wear to the cloth-covered bottom and shelf. This is a heavy and bulky item so shipping will be high.
