These work great for GM dash bulb replacement and also railroad projects because of their voltage range and they require no resistors at all. The resistors are built-in. LEDs do dim up and down. Our LED Cubes spread light in all directions compared to round LEDs where you do not achieve complete 360 degree coverage. 3mm work best in small switches as 5mm can obstruct switch functions. Our LEDs have 2 bent legs, 1 long and 1 short. The short bent leg is always negative and they can be tested on a 9 volt battery. 5mm 12 volt cubes also available.
