By the way, if you want some glitzy dinnerware but don't need a whole set, you can mix and match. This Mikasa pattern looks good with a white or even ivory salad plate if the trim is silver. Your bread-and-butter plate can be a different pattern, as well, as long as the trim is silver or platinum. Just make sure the salad plates are all the same pattern and are silver/platinum trimmed, etc. As long as you do that, you can have a classy-looking table. The Parchment Platinum dinner plate makes a pretty base for mixing and matching other patterns. I started mixing and matching because I didn't want to pay for cups and saucers we'd never use."
