There also may be a bug or two because we do not use any chemicals on our plants. They are 100% organic and children/pet safe! This air plant is perfect for any room or patio. Indoors, you can place it in hanging baskets or plant itself in pots near windows. It can be used in flower arrangements, home décor, and many other crafts. This organic plant is 100% pet safe. It is super easy to care for, needing only an occasional 💧 watering and bright indirect sunlight. It grows year-round, making it a perfect addition to your home or garden. Our beautiful Tillandsia Air Plants are straight off the tree/bush- They are harvested live, and carefully packaged. Air plants typically should 💧ONLY BE WATERED 1-2 times a week, but this depends on their placement and environment (some areas with dryer conditions may require a misting every 2-3 days). The best water 💧to use is rainwater as its naturally free of chemicals and closest to the conditions it experiences in the wild. If rainwater isn’t available, then use filtered or dechlorinated tap water (as you should with all your indoor plants) to avoid damaging the plant with chlorine. I personally use pond water for my inside plant sand sprits them 1-3 times a week depending on their appearance and needs. This plant prefers to be moist but not soaking wet, so ensure it dries out in-between watering sessions. YOU WILL RECEIVE: 12 Cluster Ball Moss Wild Air Plants for $14.99.All balls are at least 3-5”” in circumference. We will wrap each ballin its own moist towelette so they can be easily removed from the bag and stay intact. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO REMOVE THE PLANTS FROM THE BAG ANDTOWELS AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVE!! If left too long without sunlight this may cause mold. If you do not wish to use them right away, then you shouldeither lay them flat in an area of bright indirect sunlight until you are readyfor use. You can put them directly intoa potter with other plants if desired but again, put in an area of your home whichreceives bright, indirect sunlight.WHAT TOEXPECT UPON ARRIVAL: This is raw natural live plant. It is not the same as the treatedand clean moss that you see in the craft stores. There may be twigs, leaves or debris entangled in this moss, and maybe even a bug or two. We try to remove asmuch of this as we can, but they are raw live harvested plants from trees and not sprayed with any chemicals. If not using upon arrival, please spread out plants on a flat surface or hang in a bright, indirect sunlit room and mist with water to revivethem after being boxed during shipping. Some parts of the plants may turn black or yellow. These parts are dead. We will not ship dead parts, but this could occur during the shipping process. Simply snip off the dead parts to restore them back to a healthy condition and mistwith water, if dry. PLEASE NOTE (2ND REMINDER): If the plants remain in an unopened box they will mold!! You MUST remove the plants from the package ASAP.If your plants arrive in poor condition, please let us know within 24 hours- with photos. Tillandsia Recurvata, also known as ball moss, is a flowering plant.· AppearanceA small epiphyte that grows on the branches of larger trees, often in the shade. · FamilyA member of the Bromeliadfamily, which also includes pineapple and Spanish moss. · Growing conditionsPrefers low light, highhumidity, and little airflow. Can adapt to dry conditions by becoming dormantbut prefers to be misted. · CareSoak weekly in roomtemperature water in the morning, when the plant's pores are open to absorbmoisture. Avoid keeping in containers that limit airflow. · TemperaturePrefers temperatures between 50–90°F (10–32°C). Bring indoors when temperatures drop belowfreezing. · OutdoorCan be left outside inthe summer but should be gradually acclimated to increased lightlevels. Avoid placing in direct midday sun, as the leaves can sunburn. · LightLighting for Tillandsia’s should be bright but filtered (April - October). They should not be left in the direct sun in the summer months (this will cause the plant to become sunburned ). Tillandsia’s love direct sun (November - March).Tillandsia’s may be grown in the house directly in front of a window. Fresh moving air is advisable, but remember, the most important care need is bright filtered light.ArtificialLight: Full spectrum artificial light (fluorescent) is best. Light should be set with a timer, 12 hours per day. Water: While air plants don't grow in soil, they DEFINITELY NEED to be watered. We recommend giving them a thorough rinsing under running water 2-3 times per week or letting them soak in a bath of water for 20-30 minutes. You can also lightly mist air plants using a spray bottle. After watering they should be able to dry out in 4 hours or less to avoid rotting/mold. If your Tillandsia’s become too dry or desiccated, they will benefit from 1-2hours soaking in bucket of water. The best water to use is spring or rainwater. I personally use pond water. Temperature: Air plants will do best in generally warm conditions (a good range is 50-90 degrees). They can be kept outdoors year round if protected from frost. This IS NOT a craft store plant. AIR PLANT WINTER SHIPPING INFORMATIONAir plants are amazingly capable of handling low temps - most species can even handle temps down to freezing for short periods of time. In our main air plant greenhouse, our thermostatically controlled propane heaters kick on at 37°F, which is a frequent nighttime temp in our area so our plants are accustomed to chilly weather. If your area is colder, a winter shipping heat pack upgrade can be added to your order prior to your order. Please read the following information before upgrading to a heat pack. IMPORTANT- we recommend that you purchase our heat pack when ordering air plants if shipment is going anywhere that is 50 degrees and below. We don't guaranty that your air plant will arrive healthy in colder months, unless our heat pack is added. Below is link to purchase heat pack...Your order DOES NOT NEED a heat pack upgrade if:1) Daytime temps are above freezing (32°F) at your location.OR2) You live in an apartment or location where your boxes are held in an indoor location until pickup.Your order DOES NEED a heat pack upgrade if: 1) Temps at your zip code are expected to be freezing (32°F) or below during the daytime. Nighttime temps are not part of the equation because the box will not be exposed to the elements at night during any part of the shipping process.OR2) You are expecting sleet/freezing rain at your zip code. OR3) There is a winter storm moving across the US during the time that your plants are shipping. If you order during winter months and are concerned about the shipping of your plants, please order a heating pad. In this case, please allow 4 days for processing & handling.*If you believe you need a heating pad for shipping then please contact us and we will add the cost to your order for $5.99.
