This means it is a higher quality then common brass sold in hardware stores and craft shops. It has a consistent color, shine, texture, weight, and strength. High Brass, Yellow Brass, and Dix Gold are all the same metal. This alloy is made from approximately 70% copper and 30% zinc. It contains no lead or nickel.
