Description: Here is a collection of TEN assorted relics of persons and places venerated in the Roman Catholic Church. Two of these are PLACE relics from the Holy Land: a card relic of a stone fragment from the place of Crucifixion of Jesus in Jerusalem, with tipped in portrait of Jesus on the Cross, and a 4 page leaflet containing an olive leaf from the Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem. The remaining eight are relics of persons venerated in the Catholic Church presented in various formats: a second class relic of Venerable Catherine Doherty (fragment of her clothing) founder of Madonna House, and two third class relics in laminated card formats: one of St Pio of Petrelcina (Padre Pio) Capuchin Franciscan and noted stigmatist, and Blessed Mary of Jesus Crucified, a Croatian founder of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mercy canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2003 (inscriptions are in Croatian on the card). There are two relics of Canadian Saints in small acetate protected card format: one of St Andre Bessette (Brother Andre) of St Joseph Oratory in Montreal, and Blessed Marie- Catherine de St Augustine, noted Ursuline nun. The remaining three relics are in medal formats and include St Luigi Scrosoppi (1804-1884) founder of the Sisters of Providence of St Cajetan of Thienne, canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2001, St Anne, Mother of Mary in gilded aluminum, medal touched to her relics, and Mother Catherine Aurelia, founder of the Sister Adorers of the Precious Blood, a pewter medal with her dates 1833-1905. There are TEN relics in all, coming in a decorative red sheer pouch with drawstring silk ribbons, see photos #1 and 7.
